Then I used another perfectly working and clean USB drive, now a 4GB Kingston DataTraveler. To install Windows 7, I need a working USB drive. The worst thing about RAW drives is that to try repairing one, I need to install Windows 7. Only then I decided to check the drive in My Computer. I then tried unplugging my drive from a hub and plugging into the back sockets of the computer. I checked the options (same as on screenshot) and clicked "start".Īs soon as Rufus started deleting partitions, an error popped up: Could not reset partitions. The drive itself is 8GB and has no data on it. I checked my USB drive for bad blocks to make sure everything goes smooth, none were detected. First time I used Verbatim Store N Go flash drive.

The device status says that it is working properly. The volume shows as removeable, but with no media and no capacity.
In device manager it shows up as: Verbatim NAND Flash USB Device I don't have any idea what I am doing when it comes to things like the command prompt, but am very comfortable following specific instructions.
I have looked at troubleshooting advice through google and haven't found something that works. If I try and type q: (the letter assigned) it says that "the device is not ready." I opened the command prompt as an administrator to try and do these steps. I went through disk management to try and clean it and hopefully format it, but it shows as disk 1, but with no information. I uninstalled it from my computer and tried all three USB ports. I have assigned a new drive letter to it and made sure the driver was updated. I can get it to show up sometimes when I look at the drives on my computer, but it is faded out and there is no way for me to click on it. I can find it in Device Manager, but in the details it says No Media. I have a Verbatim store n go 128G USB drive that is not working properly.
